SHORT:
Spent 25 minutes earlier this week trying to remember “how many Dalmatians were in that movie about the Dalmatians”.
Sign of brain health and nothing to worry about.
MEDIUM:
This is a quick one because I am on deadline for a play and I am only 28 pages in (due tomorrow, no problem).
Someone that my friend works with says that her son says that “nonbinary is basically almost over,” which is huge news for me. Should’ve known, there’s been a fat lady singing in my room for weeks now1.
I’m looking forward to whatever comes next. Perhaps finite death. Or reincarnation.
I’d love to come back as one of those guys who helps people with their computers on YouTube. I think they are the only nice people on the internet and there will always be need for them.
LONG:
The other day, Jess and I got into an Uber and the guy driving said: “What are we gonna DOOOOO????”
I was about to answer, “ideally drive to dinner via ur vehicle”.
But then he hit us with, “The oceans are rising! The planet’s heating up! What are we gonna DOOOOOOOOO?”
And I decided to hold my tongue, as “date night!” didn’t seem woke.
We spent the 30-minute drive brainstorming “how to solve it all”.
We decided that our driver should definitely stop driving for Uber and start driving a boat. So he’s prepared when the floods happen (obviously).
When we got out of the car, Jess was like, “we should’ve taken the subway.”
And I was like, “Oh yeah, no one’s ever screaming about the end of the world down there.”
Looking forward to my pilot on the way to Austin this week to pop onto the loudspeaker and go: “we’ve now reached the point in the flight where it’s safe for me to ask: WHAT ARE WE GUNNA DOOOO?”
Snack Of The Week: Blueberry Lemon Cake Jess made (pic below)
Watch: The latest episode of GDEY if you haven’t!
Had fun: performing with my friend Ella as “The 2 World Famous (Swedish?) Standups Everybody Wants To Kiss”2 at Chris Gethard’s 24 Hour Livestream for mental health. Check out his org: https://laughingtogether.org/
And: The first play I ever wrote (when I was 21) is now available at B&N and wherever you get your books3.

Thank you for subscribing to this newsletter. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s not [like when people slip on ice].
If this is your first time reading, pls check out the archives.

Bonus Zone:
Reference to the world famous smash hit idiom “it ain’t over until the fat lady sings” (and not meant to offend in any way).
A bit that had legs and made sense and was rehearsed and was awesome to watch for 30 minutes! No matter what anyone tells u!
Congrats on the publication of your play! Not available on Amazon. JP yet.
