Warm weather has hit NYC, and with it? fragrances i forgot existed: balmy wet shoe, armpit x metal, and the timeless classic: rain trash (hot).
I have not yet listened to the new Taylor Swift album, but if one of those isn’t already a song title? She should edit the track-list to make it so…
People seem to be mad at her for releasing so many tunes… and I get it…
I personally think there should be like, ten songs… in the world… total.
You wanna sing? Better collaborate with all the other singers on the planet! Cuz there’s only room for ten ditties!1
LONG:
Since we last spoke, I had a table read of my pilot starring my gay senior citizen pen pal. He rocked it.
While rehearsing in the lobby with the cast, I turned around to find him snapping a photo of random woman. I asked him if he knew her, and he said, “no”. She was just wearing a Backstreet Boys t-shirt and his (grown) daughter “likes that band” so naturally he had to “get a pic”.
The morning prior, we had a Zoom rehearsal, and I asked the group of actors if anyone had a Ken doll that we could use as a prop… to which my gay senior citizen pen pal replied, “I used to, but I wore him out”. Awesome! No further questions!
In all honesty though, I feel very lucky to have him (and everyone who volunteered to read parts in the pilot presentation) in my life.
I’ve been trying to express gratitude for my friends the way the woman who runs the Timothee Chalamet fan account (Club Chalamet) expresses love for Timmy: in relentless, insane, and shockingly poetic ways. Be the Club Chalamet you wanna see in the world!!!
Speaking of which, my friend
started an awesome new cooking Substack called try 3 times: “it takes 3 tries to be good at something. join [her] as [she] makes 1 recipe 3 times and learn from [her] mistakes along the way.”2Anyway…
I truly believe that, a new chapter is starting in YOUR life, reader! Much like a spring rain in May! Here’s to ur many box office successes (whatever that means to you)!!! And if you’re feeling tugged by people with competing agendas? Do NOT feel the need to “be two Timothee’s” to appease people!
